Hi there! I’m thrilled to have you here. My name is Tracy, and I’m passionate about all things autism. My journey in the autism field has been extensive and varied the last 30 years: I’ve worked as a special education teacher, provided respite care, served as a counselor at autism camps, worked as an ABA therapist, worked on a university autism research program and worked as an autism consultant at a university.
Now, I’m an autism parent myself, raising four kids—teenage twins, an 11-year-old, and a 6-year-old. Parenting has been my most challenging and eye-opening role yet, revealing how much of the autism spectrum I recognize in myself and in my own family.
Though my curiosity about autism hasn’t faded, my life has changed. I decided to stay home to be with my children, but I wanted to keep contributing to the autism community. So, I began creating educational products for teachers and families of autistic children. What started as a small project has grown, and today I share my resources on platforms like Teachers Pay Teachers, Etsy, Made by Teachers, and Classful.
This blog is an extension of that passion and creativity, a space for parents, teachers, and caregivers to find balanced, practical advice that doesn’t lean toward any one philosophy.
Here, we’ll explore autism from all angles. Expect posts to tackle real-life challenges, offer creative solutions, and provide insights drawn from a blend of experience and personal reflection.
I hope you’ll join me in creating a supportive, open community where everyone feels welcome to learn, share, and grow!
